Keep Your Scene or Describe a New Background
Use LoftNum’s optional scene settings, write a clear background description, and explain where a Halloween companion should appear.

Changing the background is optional. For a video, keeping the default scene uses the supplied template’s setting. For a Halloween photo, Keep my scene asks the edit to preserve the setting in your uploaded photo while adding the effect.
If you only want to change the people in a video, you can leave the background settings alone.
Change a video background with a short description
Open the optional customization section and choose Describe a background. The text box contains a starting description that you can edit. Describe the place, lighting, and mood you actually want.
For a kitchen duet, you could write:
A small bright kitchen with cream cabinets and soft morning light. Keep enough open space for one person to sing and the other to play ukulele.
For a garden performance:
A quiet garden patio with a dark wooden fence and warm late-afternoon light. Keep the space around both performers clear.
You do not need to write a screenplay or name a model. Keep instructions consistent: asking for a dark room and strong midday sunlight at the same time makes the intended result less clear.
The current video editor offers the default scene or a written background description. It does not offer a separate background-photo upload for videos.
A Halloween photo can keep your own setting
In the Halloween photo editor, start by uploading the photo you want to edit. Choose a shadow, floating lantern creature, or mist companion. You can keep the suggested placement text or change it to fit your actual photo.
If there is no window in the photo, you do not need to choose a window-based idea. Describe a place that is visible, for example:
Add a small mist companion in the open space to my left, a few steps behind me. Keep my face, hair, and clothes unobstructed.
If part of the creature should be hidden, name what belongs in front:
Place the shadow behind the doorway on the right. The doorframe should hide part of its body, and the person should remain in front of it.
Placement shortcuts replace the suggested wording; you can edit that wording afterwards. These are instructions for the finished edit, not precise cutout controls. Position, size, and overlapping edges may vary.
When to use a background photo
The Halloween photo editor also offers Upload a background. Use a scene image as the reference for a new setting. The original photo still supplies the person; the background image describes the environment.
If your goal is simply to add something spooky to your existing room or outdoor photo, keep your scene instead. That asks for a smaller change, although it does not guarantee that every original pixel stays identical.
Before generating, read the background summary and check the credit quote. The preview explains your selected inputs; the generated result becomes available after processing and review in My creations.
